Skin1009- Anatomy & Physiology the study of the structure of the body that can be seen with the naked eye and what it is made up of; the science of the structure of organisms or of their parts. Physiology is the study of the functions of the skin.
Skin1010 - Study of the skin the study of layers of skin, analyzing the different types of skin and the condition of the skin to be able to perform the proper service.
Classroom Theory & Facial Practice Classroom Theory is taught by the instructor through out the program using Miladys Estheticians book and workbook. Facial Practice is done on clients; facials, masks, back facials, extractions, waxing, microdermabrasion, glycolic, use of galvanic/high frequency machines, analyze the skin and client consolation.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
FACIAL SPECIALIST
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES: This program prepares and provides the student in performing a professional facial procedure and waxing procedures. The knowledge and practical skills necessary to be a proficient Skin Specialist are the guidelines set forth by the Board of Cosmetology. The student must pass the State Final Examination before he or she will be
able to graduate. Passing grade of 70%
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is designed to teach the students procedures and sanitation in Skin Care, Facial Treatments with and without the use of machines. Facial massage, anatomy of the face and neck, analyze the skin for proper treatment.
PROGRAM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS OR PREREQUISITES
Must be at least 16 years old to enroll in the program, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent or demonstrate the ability to benefit from the program and take the Adult Basic Learning Exam Level 3 with a passing grade of 75%. Appplicant less than 18 years old requirement is parent/guardian signature. A student entering Palm Beach Nail School with previous training will be awarded the previous hours when student provides a copy of the transcript ( degrees and certificates as verification of credit and clock hours) from the school previously attended.
Students who are dismissed or denied admissions into Palm Beach Nail School records will remain on file for at least one year.
